Sing for Nigeria

I recollect though faintly the nice song composed to mark Nigeria's 25th anniversary. Some lines go like this.. Happy celebration, join the celebration...Nigeria is 25...25!
That was 23 years ago!
Growing up through the years that followed, I cannot recollect us having such a nice song again.
I hope it didnt mean there were no songs to sing.
We need to sing a new song for Nigeria.
Happy celebrations to us all and to all the friends of Nigeria all over.

Nice blog here,do keep it coming.I thought u would have gone in for clincal medicine(we were both in Group B in school).
Another Independence Day song back then in 1985 is this song done by Bongos Ikwe : Nigeria is 25,the odds we did survive.Arise salute the nation, come join the celebration,a people united will never fall. The sun will shine and the rain will fall. All the land, vast and mighty, richly blessed by the Almighty,Nigeria is 25'. That must have been nostalgic for u,right?
I wonder what song we will sing now we are 48.More importantly, what progress have we made since 1985?
